The Fulbright Research Award will allow Valerie to conduct molecular genetics research on diseases, such as SARS‑CoV‑2, and antivirals at the Max-Planck-Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences in Göttingen, Germany for 10 months, beginning in September 2022. She plans to apply her biochemistry background to research centered on human health and disease in Prof. Dr. Patrick Cramer’s lab.
