Travis’s research is featured on the cover of Neuron.

Travis published his first first-authored paper in Neuron last week!!

Before the hearing onset, cochlea generates spontaneous events that pass through the entire auditory system. Travis shows that these spontaneous events tend to be synchronized in brain areas that process similar frequencies after hearing onset. The different colors in the cover picture represent different frequency zones in the inferior colliculus, a brain area in the midbrain that is central to the auditory pathway.
